While I’ve mentioned that the home stays in Pomaz/Budapest caused a little stress for the Gusties before the moment they met their host families, these photos from the morning we said our goodbyes and left Pomaz will better express the value of the experience.
Some of the host “parents” were in the band at the Pomaz School of Music in 1994 when the then Gustavus Band first toured in Hungary. Now, 20 years later, they and their children hosted the Gusties.
Thank you for giving us close-ups of the orchestra members
with the Hungarian musicians.
The Hungarians as a people have won a high percentage
of the Nobel Prizes. The Hungarians are very smart people.
I am glad my number one niece was able to visit Hungary.
Long Live Hungary as an independent and free nation.
